Mineola ZIP Code Coverage
Only one postal ZIP is directly confirmed by the Mineola-specific USPS office detail in the research. The nearby rows below are included to prevent a postal or county-seat address from being mistaken for village coverage. USPS boundary geometry for every village edge was not published in the inspected materials, so verify a particular address before treating its ZIP as a village boundary.
| ZIP | Areas covered or relationship | Post office | Research note |
|---|---|---|---|
| 11501 | Primary postal ZIP used for Village of Mineola addresses | Mineola Post Office, 160 1st Street | The only Mineola-specific ZIP directly confirmed by the inspected USPS detail. |
| 11530 | Nearby Garden City postal area, including adjoining county-seat-area addresses | Garden City Post Office, 600 Franklin Avenue | Not treated as a Mineola-village ZIP. Check the parcel town and situs. |
| 11599 | Western Nassau postal and PO-box service in Garden City | Western Nassau, 830 Stewart Avenue | Alternate facility, not evidence of Village coverage. |
| 11596 | Adjacent Williston Park postal area | Williston Park Post Office, 446 Willis Avenue | Not evidence that the ZIP serves a Mineola village address. |
The table is a postal orientation tool, not a list of every ZIP that could touch an incorporated boundary. For a record search, keep the complete delivery address, then check its town, village, school district, and SBL in the county tools.
The 11501 Mineola Post Office
The official USPS Mineola Post Office detail identifies the Mineola office at 160 1st Street, Mineola, NY 11501-4070. It lists retail service Monday through Friday from 9 to 5 and Saturday from 9 to 1, with Sunday closed. The page also lists 24-hour PO-box access and a self-service kiosk. Those services describe the office, not the full postal boundary.
The postal-office listing gives a useful fixed point for a Mineola postal search. Still, use the address-verification route when a record has a neighboring postal city, a county facility, or an edge location.
Mineola ZIP and Village Lines
A ZIP is a postal routing tool, not an incorporated-village map. Mineola was incorporated in 1906 and lies mainly in the Town of North Hempstead, with a slim southern part in the Town of Hempstead. A county facility can use a Mineola mailing address and 11501 while being physically in adjoining Garden City. The mailing city, village, parcel town, and legal property identifier should stay separate in a research note.
The distinction also helps with older material. Historical directories may use a postal header rather than the current incorporated boundary. When a historic entry fails to match a portal label, test Mineola, Garden City, Hempstead, North Hempstead, and street variants, then use the SBL or legal description to keep the parcel trail intact.
Verify a Mineola ZIP Code Edge
The USPS locations tool is the postal verification route for a known address. The inspected research did not capture the exact Mineola lookup result fields or a definitive ZIP polygon. That gap is a reason to verify an edge address directly, rather than to infer coverage from the nearest post office.
The locator screen supports address and service-facility checking. Once the postal result is known, county parcel tools can test the corresponding town, village, and SBL.
Find Mineola Records by ZIP
A ZIP narrows an address search, but it does not produce a complete resident list in the confirmed official sources. Nassau AROW uses ZIP with Street, the Land Records Viewer accepts ZIP as part of an address search, and the state voter lookup uses ZIP only as one identity and address field. Work from a known address or person and keep the result within the limits of that record.
- Verify the known address with USPS when the delivery city or ZIP is uncertain.
- Enter the street and ZIP in Nassau AROW, using the street name without directional words or a suffix when the full form does not match.
- Save the returned address, town, Parcel ID, and SBL. AROW’s captured public screen does not show a ZIP-wide export or an owner-name route.
- Confirm the parcel in the Land Records Viewer with its address or SBL fields, then record the town and district context.
- For a named registered voter, use the New York voter lookup with name, date of birth, county, ZIP, and address information.
Once the ZIP has narrowed a location to one street, the Mineola street directory route supplies the address-to-SBL, deed, and permit sequence. That is more precise than attempting to turn a postal filter into a neighborhood roster.
Use ZIP With Mineola AROW
AROW is Nassau’s address and SBL property search. On the inspected public form, Street and ZIP are marked as required for the address route. The result list exposes Parcel ID, number, street address, town, and ZIP. It does not show a ZIP-only resident export, and an owner-name search was not exposed on the captured screen. Use it to find the parcel, not to make a claim about every person in a postal area.
| AROW field | Type | Requirement shown | ZIP search use |
|---|---|---|---|
| Number / House Number | Text | Not stated | Enter a known numeric address. |
| Street | Text | Required | Use the street name, without directionals or suffixes; a partial prefix may help. |
| City / Postal Name | Text or select | Not stated | Postal naming does not prove village boundaries. |
| ZIP | Text | Required | Pair it with the street search. |
| Section / Block / Lot | Text | Optional alternate | Use when the postal address is unclear. |
| Search / Clear | Buttons | Not applicable | Submit or reset the form. |
AROW’s City or Postal Name field is especially worth treating carefully. A postal place name may not equal the incorporated village. The returned town and the later LRV parcel view are the next checks.
Mineola Parcels Need Town and SBL
The Land Records Viewer accepts Section, Block, and Lot as well as House Number, Name of Street, Town, and ZIP. It can show assessment-roll information, tax maps, districts, past taxes, tax rates, exemptions, comparable sales, and linked GIS context. Search by SBL when a postal city is ambiguous. The county warns that Assessor and Clerk databases can use different SBL placeholders, so official land-record work should be conformed with the Clerk.
Current assessment-roll files are separate for Hempstead and North Hempstead, often by school district. That two-town check is a Mineola-specific safeguard. Use ZIP for discovery, then write down Town, SBL, and school district before choosing an assessment-roll file or comparing addresses.
LRV results are also useful for catching a postal mismatch before it becomes a records error. The viewer links assessment, district, tax-map, exemption, and comparable-sale context to the parcel. A recorded party name still needs confirmation in the Clerk index, and a postal label still needs the parcel town. The county’s two systems answer related questions, but neither substitutes for the other.
Note: A parcel’s physical situs, an owner’s delivery address, and the legal SBL identify different things and should not be collapsed into one label.
Mineola ZIP Code Voter Checks
The New York voter lookup asks for last name, first name, date of birth, county, ZIP, and address information. ZIP is therefore a matching field, not a stand-alone search for everyone in 11501 or another postal area. A result is designed for registration and polling-site information, and the research did not capture a full sample result inventory.
Election Law §3-220 allows supervised inspection of registration records but removes Social Security numbers, driver-license or non-driver ID numbers, and facsimile numbers. Confidential voter records are also held separately. A Nassau Board of Elections FOIL or data-processing request should state the exact geography, date, fields, and purpose, and should ask about current fees, formats, and protected-record suppression.
Use a voter record to check a specific, lawful research question. It does not resolve municipal boundaries and it does not show how a person voted.
Mineola ZIP Boundaries and City Limits
Postal geography and local jurisdiction can disagree without either record being wrong. A Mineola postal ZIP can appear on a county office mailing line even when the facility is in Garden City. Similarly, a nearby postal ZIP does not establish that the property is part of the Village of Mineola. Preserve the verified delivery address, the parcel situs, the town, and the SBL when records must be compared.
- ZIP
- A postal delivery routing code. It is not a municipal-boundary map.
- ZIP+4
- An added four-digit delivery segment used to refine routing within a ZIP.
- PO-box ZIP
- A ZIP associated with post-office box service rather than proof of a physical parcel’s location.
- Unique ZIP
- A ZIP assigned to a single organization or delivery destination. The research did not identify one for Mineola.
- Carrier route
- A postal delivery grouping within a ZIP, not a property ownership or resident roll.
When an address needs a title or street-by-street check, keep the postal result with the SBL and parcel town. That record set is more durable than an assumption drawn from the ZIP alone.
